Edit My Profile

The Edit My Profile link is found when you mouse over the My Account tab. You can update and change your account information as well as add additional features through this feature.

1. What information can I change or update in the Edit My Profile area?

The Edit My Profile area will allow you to change or update the following:

  1. Mailing address and telephone number
  2. Checking account
  3. E-mail address
  4. Password
  5. Change options (which will allow you select or remove the option to receive ProPay news with our monthly newsletter, to receive a mailed paper monthly statement, activate Discover® processing, or activate the telephone-processing option on your account)

2. How can I change my e-mail address?

To change your e-mail address, log in to your ProPay Account using your old e-mail address. Once you do so, access the Edit My Profile area (the link is below the My Account tab towards the top left) and there you will see the link to change your e-mail address.

3. How can I change my password?

Log in to your ProPay Account and access the Edit My Profile area, where you will see the option to change your password.

The password must be at least 6 characters and will be case-sensitive.

If you are having problems with your password, you can request that a temporary password be sent to you by using the Forgot your password? link in the login area or by clicking the following link:

Be sure to enter a four-digit year as required when prompted for your date of birth.

One of the most common reasons for log-in problems is improper entering of the password. The password is CaSe SeNsItIvE. That means that uppercase letters and lowercase letters can make a difference. Example: 'PRETTY' is not the same as 'pretty' nor is it the same as 'Pretty'.

Also some letters and numbers can be confused. Example: the number 1 is not the same as the lower case L (l); zero (0) is not the same as a capital o (O).

If you have trouble entering the temporary password, you may want to try (instead of typing the password) copying and pasting the password from the e-mail into the password field at the login area.

If you don't know how to copy and paste, do the following. Highlight the password by clicking and holding the left button on your mouse while you drag the cursor over the password. As the password is highlighted, click the right button on your mouse and select copy. Then put the cursor in the password field in the login area to your ProPay Account. Click the right button on your mouse and select paste. Your password should then be pasted in the field and you can click login.

4. How can I change the checking account stored in my profile?

Here is how to add, verify, or update the routing and account information stored in your ProPay Account profile and some suggestions:

  1. Log in to your ProPay Account.
  2. Mouse over the My Account tab and select Edit My Profile.
  3. Click the Change/Add Checking Account link.
  4. Make any necessary changes or entries. Please do not enter any spaces or dashes.
  5. Click Submit to store your information in your ProPay Account profile.

ProPay strongly suggests that you contact your financial institution to verify that you have the correct routing and account numbers for ACH transactions. Please do not enter numbers from your deposit slip.

If you choose, you may validate your checking account after you've stored your information.

5. How do I remove or select the optional mailed monthly statement?

To select/discontinue the option to have a monthly statement mailed to you:

  1. Log in to your ProPay Account.
  2. Mouse over the My Account tab and select Edit My Profile.
  3. Select Change Options.
  4. Check or uncheck the option for the mailed monthly statement.
  5. Click Submit when finished.

6. How do I subscribe or unsubscribe from the ProPay newsletter?

To select/discontinue the option for the ProPay newsletter:

  1. Log in to your ProPay Account.
  2. Mouse over the My Account tab and select Edit My Profile.
  3. Select Change Options.
  4. Check or uncheck the option for the Propay newsletter.
  5. Click Submit when finished.
